My Directive

Anatoly, lost in an unfamiliar part of the city, stumbles across an old robot living in an abandoned house, miles from the nearest humans.
He spends the evening with the robot, whose name is revealed to be River. River tells him of Waitrose who, like Anatolys maker, created robots before being
forced into hiding by the discriminating populace. He tells Anatoly where to find him, and tells him that he will have the answers Anatoly wants. Anatoly reflects on the events of the day, distressed at how the world has done nothing but push him into obscurity.

lyrics

So this is what i am, a monster in your eyes, for the moment i saw the cracks in your disguise, and this is what i'll be, no listener to your lies, i will fight it, or the worst come over me

So this is what you want, to watch me crash and burn, but before then i still have things to learn, and here is what i'll do, all in spite of you, i will find that word and it will set me free

this is my directive, to find what the maker wanted, hidden between the numbers, a reason to go on

So this is where it starts, within my beating heart, where the future must lie uncertainly, and off i go alone, step from stone to stone, for a father i wish i never lost

this is my directive, to find what the maker wanted, hidden between the numbers, a reason to go on

(Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba Da Da)

this is my directive, to find what the maker wanted, hidden between the numbers, a reason to go on
